A Little About Matthews Cottages

We are situated on the isle of anglesey in a small village called Gaerwen. We have two stunning cottages Penrhyn Bach and Refail Bach Cottages.Both properties Refail Bach 943644 and Penrhyn Bach 938930 can be booked together and sleep up to 10 Guests.

For somewhere peaceful to relax in the depths of the countryside, this group of cottages will leave you spoilt for choice. Just over one mile from the small village of Gaerwen, on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, the retreats are perfect for everyone, including families and friends, or couples planning a romantic break away from it all. After exploring the golden sands and coastal walks, return to Pentre Berw Penrhyn or Refail Bach cottages, for some well-deserved relaxation, making the most of the heart-warming interior. Join your loved ones in the wonderful lounge and feel right at home in front of the beautiful décor, and characterful log fires, bringing a cosy feel to those cooler night’s in. With a well-equipped kitchen, you can prepare those appetising meals at ease, and then settle down in the dining room to discuss those plans for the week ahead. Once you have taken some time to appreciate the lovely layout, look forward to a good night’s sleep in one of the quality bedrooms, with a range of styles to suit all guests from one day to the next. Pleasantly, each cottage boasts its own sense of personality, complimented by outstanding features, which really set the tone for a memorable holiday experience. After getting ready in the tasteful en-suites, or classic wet room, you can take in the one-of-a-kind location with a refreshing drink in the garden, or wander further afield to be at one with the assorted attractions. Only four miles away; discover the magnificent Llanddwyn Beach home to miles of golden sands, walks and striking views across the glistening sea towards the Welsh mountains of Snowdonia. A drive away takes you to the historic town of Beaumaris, with its medieval castle and Victorian pier, offering shops, restaurants and pubs, whilst the whole of the island features watersports, fishing, diving and cycling.
